30 something, from Germany. After studying Japanese at university, I decided to move to Japan for work in 2012 and have been living here ever since (current city: Tokyo). Besides still learning something new about the Japanese language and culture every day, I am also interested in a whole bunch of other things: Traveling, photography, hiking, yoga, art, snowboarding, kimono, delicious (non-meat) foods... I blog about all and everything that interests me, but mainly about my life in Tokyo and travels in- and outside of Japan. Feel free to join me on my journey! :D

We did a little overnight trip to Hakone on the weekend! It was our first trip as a family of three, so we were excited (and worried 😅), how well the little one would cope. She cried a few times and was very fussy in the evening, but other than that she slept a lot in the baby carrier and enjoyed the car ride 🙂 We were able to visit the famous Hakone Shrine (with one of the Torii facing lake Ashinoko) and took the cable car up to Mt Komagatake for an amazing view of the surrounding area (and almost no other people around) 😎 It was really nice to be out and exploring something new again...
